Here at The Wright Home Daycare we strive to provide your children with independence and the skills necessary to grow to their fullest potential! Our Toddler Space - Ages 1 - 3
This space is designed with safety and play in mind. Safety of your children is so important. This is why all cube shelves, book shelves and craft cupboards are properly secured to the wall. Baby gates are installed at both entrances to this room to ensure you child has access to age appropriate toys. I have designed this space to allow your little ones to learn and grow at their on pace. There is so much to discover in here! We have a kitchen set up with play kitchen, additional fridge, oven and even a washing machine. As we all know, our children love to mimic us. We also have a baby center with stroller, bathtub, playpen, highchair, crib and swing. Our table and chairs are used for various things including playing restaurant! We have all the toys your child could ever want in our cube shelves. We also have our reading and relaxation area with a bookshelf filled with childrens books, wooden puzzles and stacking toys, a rocking chair for reading and snuggles and a nap mat couch to relax. For our younger group still learning to walk, we also have some walkers so they can independently get to where they want to be, just like everyone else.
Our Preschool Space - Ages 3 - 4
Our preschoolers will have access to both the toddler room and the preschool room. At this age children have a great willingness to be independent. Allowing supervised access to arts and crafts, including scissors, glue, tape, markers, paint sticks etc. they will start to build their confidence in themselves to go about their day. We have an art caddy to keep them busy at the kitchen table, a bookshelf with various types of books, including many seek and find books, activity and learning books. We also have a cube shelf with lots of puzzles, sensory and stacking toys, along with an entire cart of lego to improve their fine motor skills even further and foster their imagination. Our bookshelf has wooden stringing beads and wooden pattern blocks to help with focus and fine motor skills. Buckets of gems and scrabble pieces to fill and dump while learning their letters is also a fun activity. Another very lovable item in this space is our Barbie Dream House! e have many, many sets of barbies and accessories to go along with the play houses, barbie vans, cars, boats, helicopters etc. We have everything here to help your child become confident, independent and most of all, HAPPY!
Our Outdoor Space
Our large fenced in yard is the perfect place to get some exercise and fresh air all year round. The playhouse helps to foster imaginary play and it even has its very own patio table! We have circle swings, a large slide, climbing train, toddler activity center, ride on vehicles and walkers to build those gross motor skills. We also have strollers and babies to go along with the imaginary play in the playhouse. Sensory bins are always a hit and we have 2 of them! One sensory table with construction vehicles pushing and digging through the bird seed and another where you will dig for different animals! Our space also has a water table for those warmer days and a large sandpit with sand toys and large construction vehicles to take their imagination anywhere!
